WEC recognizes the importance of Reciprocal Healing. As we heal ourselves, we are able to heal the environment – and reciprocally, as we heal the environment, we heal ourselves.
What Is Reciprocal Healing?
Standard healthcare practice is still quite disjointed. It does not always address all aspects of a person’s illness – the biological, the psychological, the social, and the spiritual.
As a result, it can take a long time to actually help someone get a diagnosis and then heal from an illness. If all aspects of care are not acknowledged and addressed, then the person living with an illness may potentially never become well again.

"The first steps towards renewed health come from within where compassion, connectedness, and acceptance of ourselves provides the fertile soil from which wellness can continue to bloom. Everything we do should spring forth from and be rooted in loving-kindness"
WEC's Approach
The Well Earth Collaborative was established to provide integrated and integrative healthcare.
According to the WHO, "Integrated people-centred health services means putting the comprehensive needs of people and communities, not only diseases, at the centre of health systems, and empowering people to have a more active role in their own health."
According to the US National Institute of Health, "Integrative health care often brings conventional and complementary approaches together in a coordinated way. It emphasizes a holistic, patient-focused approach to health care and wellness—often including mental, emotional, functional, spiritual, social, and community aspects—and treating the whole person rather than, for example, one organ system. It aims for well-coordinated care between different providers and institutions."
WEC begins with the understanding that our ability to be well is largely contingent on the state of the many facets of our environment. WEC knows that to be successful, healing has to be addressed both in the community and with a view to the wellness of the planet – the source from which all healing arises.
Our Approach To Wellness
Our multidisciplinary network provides assessment and treatment with the end goal of facilitating patients' return to their homes, reducing their toxic load, and equipping them with tools to achieve a rebalanced life.
Our multidisciplinary network includes, amongst others, physicians, nurses, naturopaths, physiotherapists, chiropractors, dentists, osteopaths, acupuncturists, massage therapists, dieticians, counsellors, naturalists, and spiritual directors.
The Assessment and Management Process
Our distributed network of practitioners will provide the opportunity for comprehensive care over a wide geographical area. Our centralized activities will provide the opportunity for on-site focused care and assessment. A centre will be established permitting more expedient diagnosis and intervention for those in great need.
Treatment will be individualized based on the outcomes of the assessment. The goal is to have patients actively involved in their treatment and include various modalities using integrative and integrated healthcare practices.
In addition to these interventions, extensive nature-related, creative and artistic community programming will help explore ways of enriching the relationship between humans and the earth.
